The Media and Democracy Coalition released a new poll that shows 70% of the public believes media consolidation is a problem, and a majority of the public supports keeping in place the newspaper-broadcast cross-ownership ban. The poll also shows the public's preference for local news sources, and a greater level of trust in local news sources, which are threatened by media consolidation.
