Knight Foundation, Council on Foundations Present Forum and Website: "Information Needs of Communities in a Democracy"

The Knight Foundation and the Council on Foundations co-presented this groundbreaking convening for funders to explore the community impacts of media changes brought on by the "digital revolution," as well as the increased opportunities for civic involvement and betterment. The project generated an excellent website, full of numerous resources.

The two-day event addressed ways that foundation leadership can support local communities in fostering the common bonds of information and belief that allow them to generate collective action and move themselves forward.
