Video Toolkit Available from Annie E. Casey Foundation

GFEM member, the Annie E. Casey Foundation, has created a toolkit for use by grantees in their Making Connections sites. The aim is to maximize the use of video to communicate ideas, capture important events or present community perspectives.

GFEM has distributed the toolkit at funder gatherings and it has been the most popular publication on our resource table.

The guide helps grantees make decisions about using video for:

  • Engaging stakeholders, internally and externally
  • Communicating community perspectives about change
  • Community mobilization (especially youth) in the technical processes of video creation

In addition to the possible uses of videos, the guide offers easy to follow tips on developing a strategic communications plan, the production and marketing of videos and offers comprehensive case studies.

A pdf version of the guide is now available online along with step-by-step video instructions and can be found at this link.
