Participants in this session will learn about:

  • the most common frames and messages used to communicate media policy issues;
  • the perceived relevance and connections to media policy within philanthropy – from arts and culture, economic development, human rights, and civic engagement funders;
  • what this information tells us about new strategies for engaging philanthropic leadership in media policy discussions and successfully communicating the complexities of technology and policy issues in this field
