Funder Luncheon and Conversation with Web 2.0 Expert Clay Shirky at Nonprofit Technology Conference

Date:
Monday, April 27, 2009 - 12:00pm
Location:
San Francisco, CA

GFEM and NTEN, the Nonprofit Technology Network, present a special funder luncheon and conversation with Clay Shirky, author of Here Comes Everybody: The Power of Organizing Without Organizations. This event will take place from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Monday, April 27, at the Hilton San Francisco during NTEN's annual conference.

Social media is transforming how the nonprofit sector finds, reaches, and mobilizes audiences. In this intimate setting, you'll have the opportunity to discuss the transformation with a leading thinker in the field and explore how funders can help grantees make the most of this changing landscape.  Your questions will fuel our conversation with this entertaining and thought-provoking expert.

We encourage you to RSVP today, as space is very limited for this event.

This lunch is just one part of a larger event, NTEN's Nonprofit Technology Conference, the place to engage around the technology issues that face the nonprofit sector. Nearly 1200 people will come together from across the country and around the world to connect with peers, learn from great practitioners, and change the world.

Mr. Shirky will keynote the conference on Monday morning, and then NTEN follows up with nearly 100 sessions, covering everything from video, podcasting, media metrics and social networks to IT planning and managing technology change.  We encourage you to attend the entire conference, and invite you to register at the best pricing of the show, $349.  Just select "GFEM" from the "How did you hear" field when you register, or indicate that you would like us to register you on your RSVP form, and we'll take care of the details for you.

We hope you'll join us for this rare opportunity and look forward to seeing you there!
