It’s been nearly a decade since the digital music genie burst out of its bottle, changing the game for virtually everyone in the music ecosystem. Now in its eighth year, The Future of Music Policy Summit will bring panelists and keynote speakers together with an engaged audience for a robust debate about the critical issues at the intersection of music, law, technology and policy.

FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski will deliver the keynote address at 2 PM on Monday, Oct. 5. Senator Al Franken will also deliver a keynote during the conference. Click here for the full list of panelists and programming

This multi-day event will feature a full day of artist-oriented presentations (similar to FMC's "What's the Future for Musicians?" series), sessions on social media technology, and multiple networking opportunities.

New for 2009, the event will feature unique presentations from a range of visionaries about where we’ve been and where we go from here. All this plus cocktail parties, a movie screening and a rock show!

Policy Summit 2009 will take place at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. on October 4-6.
