27th Annual Everett C. Parker "Ethics in Telecommunications" Awards Reception

The Everett C. Parker "Ethics in Telecommunications" Awards were created in 1982 to recognize Reverend Parker's pioneering work as an advocate for the public's rights in broadcasting. The Parker lecture and awards are the only ones in the country to examine telecommunications and the digital age from an ethics perspective.

The 27th Annual Lecture and Awards Reception will take place on Wednesday, September 30th at The Riverside Church in New York City. The church is located at 490 Riverside Drive.

This year's awardees are:

Everett C. Parker Award - Patti Miller, VP of Public Policy, Sesame Workshop

Donald H. MacGannon Award - Sam Simon, Chairman, Amplify Public Affairs; Founder and Former President, TRAC

Consumer Education Leadership Award - Ben Popken and Meghann Marco, Co-Executive Editors, The Consumerist
