Knight Report Released - "Informing Communities: Sustaining Democracy in the Digital Age"

The Knight Commission released its report Informing Communities: Sustaining Democracy in the Digital Age on Friday, October 2, 2009 at the Newseum in Washington, D.C. Commission co-chairs, Marissa Mayer and Theodore B. Olson, along with Knight Foundation president, Alberto Ibargüen, and the full Commission presented the report to FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski, Chief Technology Officer for the United States Aneesh Chopra, Assistant Secretary for Communications and Information at the Department of Commerce Lawrence Strickling, and Chairman of the Board for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting Ernest Wilson, among others. The public is encouraged to participate in the national dialogue on the Commission's recommendations by discussing the report and joining our Healthy Community Forum.
