Getting Connected: The Role of Community Foundations in Broadband

This new four page guide is a an accessible entry point for funders to learn about the many opportunities to engage with the broadband stimulus, including case studies of how colleagues in the philanthropic sector have already gotten involved.

 The current national discussion to expand access and use of broadband has created an ideal time for foundations to become involved in this issue. The economic recession, combined with the unprecedented $7.2B of investment by government in the deployment and adoption of broadband, provides an enormous opportunity for community foundations to help support beneficial projects and initiatives in communities across the country.
