The Opportunity Agenda Immigration Report 2009

The Opportunity Agenda conducted media and public opinion analysis on immigration issues to inform advocates’ communications and messaging strategies.

The research includes an analysis of the past year’s print and broadcast coverage of immigration, a meta-analysis of public opinion on immigrants and immigration issues, and a renewed media strategy.  Also, as an update to our 2007 report, The Opportunity Agenda conducted a scan of the state of immigration advocacy on the social web and possibilities that new media—such as Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and the blogosphere—hold for creating a more effective and strategic communications approach for the immigrants rights community.  This telebriefing will summarize our recent findings and make recommendations on how the immigrants rights community should proceed in developing and deploying a Web 2.0 strategy.
