The Aspen Institute Communications and Society Program released a report of the Forum on the Freedom to Communicate, Freedom and Connectivity: Advancing the Freedom to Communicate in the Americas, on Monday, October 1, 2012 at the Aspen Institute in Washington, D.C. Download report.

The event featured an initial presentation of the Report, followed by responses by Ricardo Salinas, CEO of Grupo Salinas, and Alec Ross, Senior Advisor to the Secretary of State. The Forum on the Freedom to Communicate addressed issues surrounding the freedoms of expression, association and connectivity in the 21st century. The Report resulting from the 2012 conference in Mexico City details actionable steps that Mexico and other Western Hemisphere nations can take to improve connectivity, expression and the free flow of information.
